Toru electric kettle by the Italian brand Alessi. Made of polished stainless steel. The base, handle, lid, spout and filter are made of black thermoplastic resin. The presented kettle was designed by Nendo for Alessi and expresses the philosophy of the Alessi company, its skills and precision in working with steel.
The word "toru" in Japanese means "through". The designer's creative imagination turns the handle into a spout running through the steel body of the kettle. It is a somewhat ironic and at the same time intellectual approach to a practical object such as a kettle.
The jug-shaped body and the handle raised above the body ensure excellent functionality and facilitate pouring water from the kettle.
The most important features of the Alessi Toru kettle:
- Tested and certified to guarantee consumer safety.
- Equipped with non-slip feet that ensure stability during use.
- The kettle cuts off the power supply when there is too little water in the kettle.
- The base of the kettle is thermally insulated, so even when the water reaches
boiling point, it can be safely placed on any surface.
- Inside the body, near the spout, there is a removable filter that stops scale and
particles formed inside the kettle.
- The handle provides a firm grip
- The lid lifts automatically when the opening button is pressed.
- The symbol (MAX) located inside the kettle body indicates the maximum
water level.
- On the kettle body, under the handle, there is a lever switch for turning it on and off. Below this switch there is a small indicator light that indicates the status of the kettle (ON/OFF).
Cleaning:
Rinse the interior under running water and dry. Use a damp cloth, wipe the housing and electrical base, and then dry thoroughly. Do not place the kettle under running water or immerse it in water. Do not wash the kettle in the dishwasher.
